These Terms & Conditions govern the provision of web design, SEO, PPC, and e-commerce services by Web Site Made Easy (“we”, “us”, “our”) to our clients (“you”, “your”). By engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Our services
We provide website design and development, search engine optimisation, pay-per-click advertising management, and e-commerce solutions, as agreed in writing with each individual client. The specific scope of work for your project will be set out in a separate quote, proposal, or statement of work.
2. Quotes and pricing
All quotes are valid for 30 days from the date issued unless otherwise stated. Prices are subject to change if the agreed scope of work changes. Any additional work outside the original scope will be quoted separately before we proceed.
3. Payment terms
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, we require a deposit before starting work, with the remaining balance due on completion or per the payment schedule set out in your proposal. Late payments may result in a pause of ongoing work or support.
4. Project timelines and your responsibilities
Project timelines depend on the timely provision of content, feedback, and approvals from you. Delays in providing these may result in delays to project delivery. We will always aim to communicate realistic timescales upfront.
5. Intellectual property
Once a project is paid in full, ownership of the final website design and code transfers to you, except for any third-party software, plugins, stock imagery, or licensed assets, which remain subject to their own licence terms. We retain the right to showcase completed work in our own portfolio and marketing materials unless you request otherwise in writing.
6. Content provided by you
You are responsible for ensuring that any text, images, logos, or other materials you provide us do not infringe on the intellectual property rights of any third party. We accept no liability for content supplied by you.
7. Cancellations and refunds
If you cancel a project after work has begun, you will be charged for work completed up to that point. Deposits are generally non-refundable once work has commenced, unless we are unable to deliver the agreed services.
8. Website maintenance and support
Ongoing maintenance, hosting, and support are only included where specifically agreed as part of your package. Without an active maintenance agreement, we are not responsible for the ongoing performance, security, or uptime of your website after project completion.
9. Limitation of liability
We aim to deliver high-quality work, but we cannot guarantee specific results, such as search engine rankings, advertising performance, or sales outcomes, as these depend on many factors outside our control. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim relating to our services is limited to the fees paid for the specific service in question.
10. Third-party services
Our work may involve third-party platforms and services (such as hosting providers, payment gateways, Shopify, or WordPress plugins). We are not responsible for the performance, pricing changes, or policies of these third parties.
11. Confidentiality
We will treat any confidential information you share with us as private and will not disclose it to third parties, except where required to deliver the agreed services or by law.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
